Spectra is built on trust, transparency, and mutual respect. These Community Guidelines outline the standards of behavior expected from all users to maintain a safe, fair, and productive environment for everyone.

By using Spectra, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines.

Violations may result in warnings, account suspension, or permanent ban, at our sole discretion.

1. Core Principles

1.1 Respect and Professionalism

  • Treat all users with respect and courtesy
  • Be professional in all communications
  • Respect different opinions, backgrounds, and experience levels
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive community

1.2 Honesty and Integrity

  • Be truthful and transparent in all interactions
  • Represent your trading performance accurately
  • Do not mislead, deceive, or defraud other users
  • Take responsibility for your actions and trading decisions

1.3 Fair Play

  • Use the Platform as intended
  • Do not exploit bugs, loopholes, or technical issues
  • Do not engage in market manipulation
  • Compete fairly with other users

1.4 Legal Compliance

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Do not use the Service for illegal activities
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Follow our Terms of Service and all policies

2. Prohibited Conduct

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

2.1 Fraud and Scams

ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN:

  • Fraudulent schemes: Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, or any fraudulent investment schemes
  • Misrepresentation: Falsifying trading results, performance history, or credentials
  • Phishing: Attempting to steal credentials, personal information, or funds
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another user, Spectra staff, or any third party
  • Fake accounts: Creating multiple accounts to deceive others or circumvent restrictions
  • Money laundering: Using the Service to launder money or proceeds of crime

Consequences: Immediate permanent ban and reporting to authorities.

2.2 Market Manipulation

STRICTLY PROHIBITED:

  • Wash trading: Placing simultaneous buy and sell orders to create false activity or inflate performance
  • Artificial inflation: Manipulating trades to artificially improve displayed performance statistics
  • Pump and dump: Coordinating to artificially inflate or deflate asset prices
  • Insider trading: Trading based on non-public, material information (where applicable)
  • Front-running: Using information about others' pending trades for personal advantage
  • Spoofing: Placing orders with intent to cancel before execution to manipulate markets

Consequences: Account termination, potential legal action, and reporting to regulatory authorities.

2.3 Dishonest Trading Practices

NOT ALLOWED:

  • Cherry-picking results: Selectively showing only profitable trades while hiding losses
  • Hiding losses: Failing to disclose losing positions or overall negative performance
  • Fake performance: Using demo accounts, simulated trades, or fabricated data to misrepresent results
  • Misleading statistics: Manipulating timeframes, benchmarks, or metrics to deceive
  • Guaranteed returns: Promising or guaranteeing specific returns or profits
  • Risk concealment: Failing to disclose the true level of risk in your trading strategy

Consequences: Warning, suspension, or permanent ban.

2.4 Harassment and Abuse

ZERO TOLERANCE FOR:

  • Harassment: Repeatedly bothering, stalking, or targeting other users
  • Bullying: Intimidating, threatening, or demeaning behavior
  • Hate speech: Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Threats: Threatening violence, harm, or illegal activity
  • Doxxing: Sharing private personal information without consent
  • Sexual harassment: Unwelcome sexual advances, requests, or content

Consequences: Immediate suspension or permanent ban. Serious cases reported to law enforcement.

2.5 Spam and Unwanted Solicitation

DO NOT:

  • Spam: Send repetitive, unsolicited messages or content
  • Advertising: Promote products, services, or websites (unless authorized by Spectra)
  • Pyramid schemes: Recruit users for multi-level marketing or similar schemes
  • Off-platform solicitation: Attempt to direct users to external sites, services, or communications to circumvent our Terms
  • Referral abuse: Manipulate referral programs through fake accounts or fraudulent methods

Consequences: Warning, content removal, or account suspension.

2.6 Technical Abuse

PROHIBITED:

  • Hacking: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • Exploiting bugs: Using technical vulnerabilities for personal gain or to harm others
  • Reverse engineering: Decompiling, disassembling, or reverse engineering our software
  • Automated abuse: Using bots, scripts, or automation to spam, scrape data, or abuse features
  • DDoS attacks: Attempting to overload or disrupt our systems
  • Malware: Distributing viruses, malware, or harmful code

Consequences: Immediate permanent ban and potential legal action.

2.7 Misleading or Harmful Content

NOT ALLOWED:

  • False information: Spreading false or misleading information about trading, markets, or the Platform
  • Financial advice: Providing unlicensed financial, investment, legal, or tax advice
  • Harmful content: Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, violence, or illegal activities
  • Pornographic content: Sexually explicit or pornographic material
  • Copyrighted material: Sharing copyrighted content without authorization

Consequences: Content removal, warning, or account suspension.

3. Trader-Specific Guidelines

If you operate as a Trader (whose trades are copied by others):

3.1 Accurate Representation

YOU MUST:
Accurately represent your trading experience and background
Display complete and honest performance statistics
Disclose all relevant risks associated with your trading strategy
Make clear that past performance does not guarantee future results
Never promise or guarantee specific returns

YOU MUST NOT:
Misrepresent your qualifications, credentials, or experience
Hide or obscure losing trades or drawdowns
Selectively report only winning trades
Use misleading titles, descriptions, or marketing language

3.2 Risk Disclosure

YOU MUST:
Clearly communicate the level of risk in your strategy
Disclose maximum drawdown, leverage used, and volatility
Warn Followers that they may lose all their capital
Make it clear you are NOT providing financial advice

3.3 Responsible Trading

YOU MUST:
Trade responsibly and with proper risk management
Avoid reckless, excessively risky, or "gamble-like" strategies designed only to attract Followers
Not intentionally cause losses to Followers
Act in good faith

YOU MUST NOT:
Engage in wash trading or manipulative practices
Deliberately take on excessive risk to inflate short-term performance
Collude with other Traders to manipulate rankings or statistics

3.4 No Financial Advice

YOU ARE NOT:
Licensed or authorized to provide financial advice
Acting as an investment advisor
Making personalized recommendations

MAKE CLEAR: Followers are making their own independent decisions.

4. Follower-Specific Guidelines

If you copy trades from Traders:

4.1 Your Responsibility

UNDERSTAND THAT:

  • You are making your own independent investment decisions
  • You are responsible for evaluating Traders and strategies
  • You must monitor your copy trading activity
  • You bear full responsibility for losses
  • Spectra does NOT recommend or endorse any Trader

4.2 Due Diligence

YOU MUST:
Research and evaluate Traders before copying
Understand the risks involved in the strategy
Set appropriate stop-losses and risk limits
Monitor your account regularly
Diversify if appropriate

DO NOT:
Blindly copy without understanding the strategy
Risk more than you can afford to lose
Rely solely on past performance
Expect guaranteed returns

4.3 Respectful Interaction

YOU SHOULD:
Ask respectful questions if available
Provide constructive feedback
Report genuine concerns through proper channels

DO NOT:
Harass Traders for losses (you accepted the risk)
Make unfounded accusations
Demand refunds for trading losses (not applicable)

5. Communication Guidelines

5.1 Respectful Communication

When interacting with other users:

DO:
Be polite, respectful, and constructive
Stay on topic
Use clear and professional language
Listen to and consider other perspectives

DON'T:
Use profanity, insults, or derogatory language
Engage in personal attacks or name-calling
Post inflammatory or provocative content ("trolling")
Shout (excessive use of caps lock)

5.2 Appropriate Topics

Acceptable:
Trading strategies and market analysis (general discussion)
Platform features and technical questions
Constructive feedback and suggestions
General investment education

Not Acceptable:
Off-topic spam or irrelevant content
Political or religious debates unrelated to trading
Personal disputes or drama
Promotion of competing services

6. Reporting Violations

6.1 How to Report

If you witness violations of these Guidelines:

  • Use the Report Feature: Most content can be reported through the app
  • Contact Support: Email support@spectra.com or abuse@spectra.com
  • Provide Details:
    • Description of the violation
    • Username(s) involved
    • Screenshots or evidence (if applicable)
    • Date and time

6.2 What to Report

Report:

  • Fraud, scams, or impersonation
  • Market manipulation or dishonest practices
  • Harassment, threats, or hate speech
  • Spam or unwanted solicitation
  • Technical abuse or security issues
  • Any violation of these Guidelines

6.3 False Reports

DO NOT:

  • File false or malicious reports
  • Use reporting to harass others
  • Abuse the reporting system

False reporting may result in penalties to your account.

6.4 Confidentiality

Reports are confidential. We do not disclose the identity of reporters unless required by law.

7. Enforcement

7.1 Our Right to Moderate

Spectra reserves the right to:

  • Monitor user activity and content
  • Investigate reported violations
  • Take action at our sole discretion
  • Remove content that violates these Guidelines
  • Suspend or terminate accounts

7.2 Penalties for Violations

Depending on the severity:

First Violation (Minor):

  • Warning and content removal
  • Educational notice about Guidelines

Second Violation or Moderate Violation:

  • Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
  • Loss of certain privileges
  • Required acknowledgment of Guidelines

Severe or Repeated Violations:

  • Permanent account termination
  • Ban from creating new accounts
  • Potential legal action
  • Reporting to authorities (if illegal activity)

Immediate Permanent Ban (No Warning):

  • Fraud, scams, or financial crimes
  • Market manipulation
  • Hacking or security breaches
  • Severe harassment or threats
  • Illegal activities

7.3 Appeals

If you believe enforcement action was taken in error:

  • Email appeals@spectra.com or support@spectra.com
  • Provide your account details and explanation
  • We will review within 14 business days
  • Our decision on appeal is final

7.4 No Obligation to Act

We are not obligated to monitor all content or enforce every violation. Our failure to act does not waive our right to enforce later.

8. Content Ownership and License

8.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post (comments, descriptions, etc.).

By posting, you grant Spectra a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.

8.2 Our Content

All Platform content (design, software, trademarks, etc.) is owned by Spectra. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute without permission.

9. Privacy and Data

9.1 Respect Privacy

  • Do not share others' personal information without consent
  • Do not attempt to discover others' identities outside the Platform
  • Respect privacy settings and boundaries

9.2 Your Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy. We may collect and process data as described therein.

10. Changes to These Guidelines

10.1 Updates

We may update these Community Guidelines at any time.

Changes are effective when posted, with the updated "Last Updated" date.

10.2 Notification

We may notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.

10.3 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for staying informed of these Guidelines.
